RECUPERATION is the first phase of detoxification.  This crucial phase can be confusing to those who are not familiar with how the body cleanses itself.  This phase can last 10 days to several weeks with weakness as the major feeling.  Flu-like symptoms can occur with general achiness.

However, this weakness is actually the movement of energy away from the muscles and skin into the vital internal organs to start reconstruction.   Even the skin can show signs of distress with eruptions or discoloration.  Sometimes emotions come to the surface for no apparent reason. DON’T panic.

The term for this is “retracing”.  With the emphasis on eliminating during phase one, wastes are discarded faster than the body’s ability to eliminate them, hence the symptoms.  Your body “remembers” both physically and emotionally what has happened in the past.

Our brain and body cells store all information coming into our space much like a hard drive on a computer.  The “spring house cleaning” looks and feels messy at first, but once everything is renewed, the outcome is quite remarkable.

Retracing gives the body a chance to re-program a past physical or emotional event for a healthier result.  It is important to stop wasting energy by engaging in more rest and sleep.  Take it easy and de-stress as much as possible.
