DSHWA Vision and Mission
The formulation of the Dominica Spa Health and Wellness Association Inc. (D-SHWA) is the coming together of various wellness and medical practitioners and spa owners who are now unifying their knowledge, business skills and networking to fulfill a much needed reference point for Dominica’s infrastructure of wellness tourism and to provide public education and services that support the efforts of the Ministry of Health to help Dominicans perpetuate the legacy of our famed longevity and wellness. With the support of Dominican Coalition Service Industries (DCSI) and sector research provided from Dominica Export we have formalized this group into a legal NGO entity.

VISION
A collaborative environment for spa, health and wellness rooted in Dominica’s naturally diverse and rich healing heritage.
MISSION
- D-SHWA’s mission is to inspire and assist stakeholders to innovate high quality products and services that honour the distinctive essence ofDominica. D-SHWA will create and support collaborative marketing channels, events and opportunities for the further development of the industry. To educate, promote and sensitise the public to the diverse benefits of health and wellness on what D-SHWA considers to be a living spa.
Legal Status
25th February 2013 – approval was sought and granted by the Ministry of Tourism and Legal Affairs to apply for NGO status and to use the word “Dominica” in the name.
Dominica Spa Health and Wellness Association Inc. (D-SHWA), was incorporated on the 22 May 2013. Company # 2896.
Launch Date
Press Launch is taking place the 18th June 2013, Anchorage Hotel. 6.30pm-7.30pm.
