I haven’t blogged in a while. I miss it of course, but feel there is such a swirl of activity and emotions on my island that my pen hesitates to be definitive.
The motto that has emerged for this year is “2013. No going back. Be awake or live in lack.” Everywhere I look and each experience I find myself in attests to this motto. More people are questioning the current social, political and economic structure they see in the world. Those who wake up to the truth of who they are are blessed with a charmed life. Those who don’t, know only struggle and suffering sometimes disguised by denial.
I encounter people from all over the world and hear comments like “we are in the last days” or “a new world order is arising” or “the world will end on a particular date”. Has such a global discontent been recorded in our history before? Is history, in fact, repeating itself? I get the feeling that something is definitely different about our present situation. What is it?
I think it has to do with a critical mass of “Holy Spirit consciousness” which is holding areas of the world in a state of readiness. It looks to me like we are in the midst of an evolutionary leap in consciousness. Something has been born that we, the human race, have never seen before. Consequently, defining it is more difficult because we have nothing to compare it to. What is it?
Here are some possibilities limited by my understanding and use of descriptive words. But I must go on. .. Could it be a greater capacity to meet each other authentically without fear from a place of deep connection? Could it be a harmonious and beneficial way to live together in community with the earth, the people and the universal forces? Could it be a grace that gently taps us on the shoulder as a reminder that we are all unique and valuable parts of life unfolding?
