May 4th 2013 saw a gathering of seven excited people of Antigua involved in health and wellness fields. Swim coaches, personal trainers, reflexologist, Red Cross facilitators and President of Antigua and Barbuda Road Safety Group were eager to partake of a day to expand their understanding of reducing pain, stress and tension in the body.
They met at the home of Alice and Marlon Ho-Tack to learn THE TOP 10 PAIN RELEASERS taught by certified Touch for Health instructor, Dr. Janet Taylor from Dominica. Ms. Ho-Tack was taking the course for the second time to solidify the techniques which she learned in November of 2012 from Dr. Taylor. She told the group of her experiences in Florida last year when she put some of the techniques to good use at a conference.
The self-help techniques are simple to learn, effective and can be applied anytime, anyplace. The group shared many possibilities for using the techniques in their own person life as well as their jobs. It was easy to see they were familiar with the self-responsibility model and being proactive in their lives. On one of the breaks, a participant filled a bowl of freshly picked Barbados cherries from the Ho-Tack’s yard for the group to share with the other healthy snacks.
