Here are five “bad habits” to drop for 2012.
1.Forgetting to floss– –This procedure allows amazing health benefits if done once a day before you brush your teeth. A little bleeding of gums at first is common but if it doesn’t go away talk to your dentist.
2. Eating late at night— Boredom can be the cause and doing so doesn’t necessarily cause weight gain. But sweets are usually craved at this time. Consequently, the sugar can cause tooth decay while you sleep.
3. Skimping on sleep– –Staying up late watching TV or surfing the net can cause the body to release chemicals which can stimulate more energy than needed. Lack of sleep can cause inability to concentrate, a weakened immune system, and confused hormones relating to appetite and food choices.
4. Creature of habit at the gym— “Variety is the spice of gym life!” Instead of doing the same workout every time, exercise in different ways using different routines for overall health.
5. Sitting on “butt” all day-–This is typical for office workers and net surfers. When sitting for long periods of time staying in one typical position the body doesn’t produce fat burning enzymes . Hence weight gain is more typical. Get up and move, stretch, walk around and stand throughout the work day to stimulate the body to burn fat cells naturally.
