I’m always looking for non-invasive indicators for correcting illness in the body. I especially want those studies that have research to back up their findings. So here is a fascinating compilation of ways for men to find out their risks for prostate cancer. I haven’t included all the research due to space but suffice it to say some of these may sound a bit surprising and/or dubious. Yet, the researchers stand by their statistics.
- Early balding before the age of 20 may indicate a higher risk of prostate cancer.
- Men who father only daughters are 60% more likely to get prostate cancer.
- Shorter men are less likely to get it.
- Men living in northern cities above 40 degrees latitude are more likely to have prostate cancer.
- When the index finger is longer than the ring finger men are 33% less likely to have prostate cancer than men with their index finger the same length or shorter.
- Men who engage in more sex after the age of 50 are less likely to have prostate cancer than those who had more sex between the ages of 20-30 years old.
If one of these categories fits your situation then it is probably wise to speak with your health care professional about further testing, lifestyle changes or alternative choices to assure you of a higher quality of life in the future.
